Why the need for Winch Buddy?
In 2001, one of the partners developed a “tennis elbow” condition from repetitive use of winching lines and halyards by means of turning a common “winch handle”.  After a couple of months of physical therapy to cure the sore tendon, he came up with the idea of utilizing a cordless right angle power unit with a special double square socket driver of his own design which he started using for the 2002 season.

Since inventing Winch Buddy, he has never been bothered again with any sore muscles from using the winches constantly. His sailing companions and customers as well have encouraged the partners to bring this idea to the general boating market which is now worldwide and includes hundreds of satisfied sailors.
